4.5 /usr/lib : Libraries for programming and packages

/usr/lib includes object files, libraries, and internal binaries that are not
intended to be executed directly by users or shell scripts.

Applications may use a single subdirectory under /usr/lib. If an application
uses a subdirectory, all architecture-dependent data exclusively used by the
application should be placed within that subdirectory. For example, the perl5
subdirectory for Perl 5 modules and libraries.

Seems to sum up exactly what OpenVerse is doing with the mild exception of
OpenVerse.tcl which is symbolically linked to /usr/bin/OpenVerse

I feel that breaking up the application as echo suggested over complicates the
install and is not at all nessescary.

OpenVerse is relocatable in two ways.

1. Change the value of libdir and libbase in the OpenVerse.tcl and move the
directory anywhere you would like it to be. This is the prefered method for a
system wide installation.

2. When the new release comes out (soon, I promis) Individual users can run
OpenVerse from any directory on the system by specifying an environment
variable named OVRUNDIR which points to the system OpenVerse directory.
