Hi folks.. 

It's time to pay for the drunkenbastards.org domain name
again. the cost
is $35.00. I've already paid for it. I am looking to be
repaid.

Last year I spent three weeks trying to motivate folks enough
to cover
the
cost of the domain name. It didnt work too well. I'm not
going to do
that
this year. If the group cannot get together to cover the
costs of this
domain then there is little sence in having it. A community
which cannot
support itself is dead. Perhaps DBism is dead, It sure seemed
that way
last year.

IT'S NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. It's about support for the group.
If you
cannot
spare $1, you think it really is about the money, or you just
don't want
to send money on some sort of principle,  then send a letter
or a
postcard
or something showing your support. It's about support of this
online
community, not the money. I spend $35 on a night out
drinking.....

In anycase, If you would like to contribute do so by sending
$1 ONLY (do
not send more, do not send checks, send only cash.) to the

If you are not in america, don't send anything. I completely
understand
how much of a hassle it is to get american money outside of
america.
Also,
I can't use your OZ, NZ, UK and ZA money.. it's worthless to

too much
for

great in supporting drunkenbastards.org for free for quite a
long time
now. I don't even work there anymore and they've never asked
me for a
penny. God knows how long they will continue doing this.

So, those of you for whom this message is relevant, get your
grubby
hands into your pockets and send the man some money!  I
suggested an
incentive might be to remove those who don't respond with
either money
or a postcard from the mail forwarding list (ie. take away
their 'free'
db.org addy); but because he's such a kind, caring person,
Cruise said
he didn't want to resort to using threats.  However, that's
not to say
he won't do so in a rummed-up fit in 2-3 weeks if the inward
cash flow
is as wimpy as it
was last year ...
