Re: Your software

Hello,

I think we reached a deal. For further details about
payment and money transfer, please contact my
commercial partner Jean Marc Rousson at
jeanmarcrousson@hotmail.com

For technical and functionnal details, please stay in
touch with me.

Here are the technical features that the software
should have. We don’t really need the HTML embedded
Chat feature, so feel free to do it only if it is very
simple for you, in on side.

TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONNAL FEATURES
-----------------------------------------
The client software technical features:

1) You don't need to make an HTML embedded version
(except if it is very simple for you). . Although, you
need to make a LINUX and WIN 85/98/2000 version.
2) You need to have an URL link system that auto
install the software on your drive.
3) You need to have an URL link system that auto
launch the software when it is installed.

-----------------------------------------

The server technical features:

1) The server should be linked with Web pages that
will be put under an Apache server.
This pages should be dynamically created (the tool I
use most is PHP, so I would prefer PHP than Perl CGI).

2) All the people that are beginning a Chat have to
identify themselves with a login and a password,
compared with some data in a simple MYSQL database.
(in the user table).

3) All the conversation are logged in text files, with
alos the conversation time. When logged, the
conversation should mention all the names of the
people that taled in front of each sentence.

Exemple of Log format:
John Main Speaker " I didn't mean that really. I
thought GD was a library for creating GIF AND JPEG."
Public N°1 " I have to mention that it is only for
GIF".
George Invited speaker " Anyway, the processing time
is far too long to make it some usefule solution."

--------------------------------------
The background picture of the chat room

1) the background picture is split into two areas: the
speakers and the publics.
The speakers are two only. Thy can only move around in
the speaker area.

The public has a maximum number of 5 people. Thaey can
only move in the public area.

----------------------------------------
The user way of doing it.

1) Someone goes to A WEB PAGE. There, he sees a list
of all the people actively running the OpenVerse
software on their computer. One big task is to
maintain a list of people that are actually logged on
their OpenVerse software on their computer.

2) He chooses one of those people. He invites him in a
Chat room.
He also chooses wether this ChatRoom is public or
private.
He also gives a message "SUBJECT OF THE CONVERSATION"
HE also chooses a Chat mode. "Private conversation" or
"Public conversation".
When he clicks on a button "Invite", his OpenVerse
software is launched nad he is alone in the room.

3) The person who has his OpenSoftware on sees his
icon blinking. If he opens his windows, he sees the
invitation message text.

If he accepts, he enters in the Chat room and meets
the person that had invited him before.

4) Third party users. Meanwhile, a third person is
browsing the Web site. He goes in a category called
" the presently active chat rooms". There are links
towards the room that are "Public conversations". The
subject of all this conversations is also indicated.

When the third personn enters the public room, he his
placed in the "public area" zone. He can talk, but he
can be banned by both of the speakers at any time. Any
speaker can ban any of the public member at any time.

Once banned, the person cannot come back again in the
chat room until it is finished.

JURIDICAL FEATURES
-----------------------------------------
- We have to make an agreement that the intellectual
property of the code of the new software you are doing
belongs to my company.
