Re: [OpenVerse] WTF?!?!?
Ok....
Yes, should've said that.
I just am in love with computers and programming. I'll spare you the
original
letter i wrote, was alot of rambling on bout this subject.
I must apologize though. I realize that you work around them all day, and
may be burnt
out, and look forward to coming home (away from 'em). Tho my thirst for
mastery
is very strong, I'll respect your wishes. If I do ask you any questions, it
will
be in email, and a damn good one, not something I should have looked up
first.
Heehe...he.....
And this whole netscape thing. Fuck it, and forget it! I just made it for
me,
thought some one would like it. It was kinda stupid of me to argue with you
about
it, since you have been programming in tcl/tk longer than my real time spent
with
computers. Peace...Will be more humble in the future........
Before i came here, OV, i was getting into qt/kde development. I want to get
back
to that. I will still want to do OV, hence a qt client. I need to do this.
Mastering GUI-network programming in C++ is really a nice skill to have /me
thinks. Though am no master in C++, am comfortable in it and thank god i'm
not an
idiot. It should be a fun learning experience. /smile+/wink..........Plus i
want
to learn GTK+, so i may be of some help on the GTK+ client swivel's been
talking
about. Hopefully, i will be able to make a contribution to that and he may
be impressed with my "mad programming
skills{from weird Al}", and may hire me when he needs programmers for his
site,
tho don't tell him this. Plus I have my web site I want to make, mostly
using on
the fly perl, should be fun....thank god for apache!
I'll really dig in deep, and master how OV works at the current moment.
Hopefully, I can make some "real" improvements (making buttons isn't shit,
any
monkey can do that, as I'm sure you know ":)"). I feel like, and rightly so
I
think, I haven't really made a speakable contribution (tho misleading by all
my
email to the list) to the project, and hope to do so by 1.0!!
Well, later, have a good day at work, and be thankful for where you are, not
everyone has your shoes.
-Jack
P.S.-> Guess i'll try news groups....huh?
