Another Metaverse idea

Know what would be REALLY, REALLY cool?

VOICE CHAT!

Yeah!

I'd give a copy of Metaverse to my sister in California and my brother
in Colorado, and we could have a nice voice chat in a Metaverse room!

My mom would be able to participate as well despite her atrociously slow
typematic rate.

The problem is that voice can be a lot of data... what kind of
bandwidth is realistic?  Then how can we squeeze reasonable sound data
into it?

If there is no other way around it, walkie-talkie mode would have to
do.  By that I mean only one person gets to talk at a time.
