I'm not sure.. but it wouldn't stop the spam. I have some old lists (Daytona
CTF Quake II lists) which get list joins and spams within minutes of eachother.
Since moderating messages is easier than moderating list joins, I took the
moderating messages route. I only need to pipe the messages through a pearl
script to approve them.
